Notes

Artemesia died when Philip was Pastor of Friendship Baptist Church, now the First Baptist Church, Oxford,

Alabama. Artemecia's burial place has not been located. Her death was recorded in the minutes of Friendship

Church, but no mention was made of her burial place. The church was using Snow Cemetery, near the present

church, at the time as one of their main burial places. It may be that this is where she was places. Several graves

have no markers.
