Transcript: 29 Oct 1863; Salima Derick, plaintiff, vs Isaac Cook and Thos. R Maxwell, defendents. Plaintiff filed
Sept 17th 1863 for suit a note to hir by defendents for thirty-five dollars dated May 20th 1861 and payable one day
after date and directed a sumons to isue a sumons was usued Sept 17th 1863 directed to the constable of Buckprarie
Township and delivered to Wm B Whann as debity returnable Oct 10th 1863. Oct 10th 1863 the sumons in the
above cause is returned servedon the plaintiff by Leving a coppy with a white personof there familys over the age of
fifteen and the cause coming on to be heard and the defendents failing to appear the Justice waited three hours and
after examining into the cause it is adjudged by the Justic that plantiff recoverof Isaac Cook and Thos R Maxwell
defendents the sume of forty three dollars and 75ct for hir debt and interest: and one dollar and 10ct for cost of suit
